After a particularly grueling but successful meeting with the city’s chief political figures, Marilyn seeks the anonymity of a small downtown bar to relax with a martini before returning home to complete the paperwork her efforts have required.

From her secluded corner she notices a couple at their own shadowed table. A passing delivery truck casts its headlights through the window long enough to illuminate the pair. Marilyn’s beloved Johnny gently caresses his sister-in-law’s young hands as he leans forward to give her a kiss that is anything but brotherly.
