Despite The Killer’s assurances that the situation will be dealt with, Marilyn decides to secure her position. She confronts Johnny for his infidelity, accusing him of placing Abigail Faye in danger. He was the last one seen with the poor girl and surely this will hurt his career.

Marilyn reminds him that he needs her and would be reduced to nothing without her. He isn’t business savvy but he knows her connections are what help him remain the musical and media darling he is between albums. He has already lost the girl he loved, he is not willing to lose his career too.
